Where to Find the Tide Armor Trim

Defeat elder guardians in ocean monuments for Tide. Each elder guardian has a 20% chance to drop one template in Java 1.21 and Bedrock 1.21.0; Looting does not improve the chance, and a player kill is not required.

Guide scope: Minecraft 1.21. Chances refer to the container, archaeology roll, or mob drop described above.

How to Duplicate the Tide Armor Trim

Keep a spare before you start smithing. Combine one Tide armor trim smithing template, one Prismarine, and seven diamonds at a crafting table to make two templates.

1 Tide template+1 Prismarine+7 diamonds2 templates

Java: prismarine. Bedrock also accepts prismarine bricks or dark prismarine.

Place the template in the top-middle slot and the duplication material in the center. Fill the remaining seven slots with diamonds. Applying a trim at a smithing table consumes one template; the pattern changes appearance, not armor protection.

Try the Tide Trim on Your Skin

Take Tide from a template in your inventory to a look you can actually see. Test the pattern on different armor bases and compare all ten trim materials.
