Dune places a compact geometric mark on the chest and broad, angular bands around the limbs. It joined Minecraft in Java Edition 1.20 and Bedrock Edition 1.20.0.

Look in desert pyramid loot chests for Dune. Each chest has a 1 in 7 chance (about 14.3%) to contain two templates in Java 1.21 and Bedrock 1.21.0.
Guide scope: Minecraft 1.21. Chances refer to the container, archaeology roll, or mob drop described above.
How to Duplicate the Dune Armor Trim
Keep a spare before you start smithing. Combine one Dune armor trim smithing template, one Sandstone, and seven diamonds at a crafting table to make two templates.
Java: sandstone. Bedrock also accepts smooth sandstone, cut sandstone, or chiseled sandstone.
Place the template in the top-middle slot and the duplication material in the center. Fill the remaining seven slots with diamonds. Applying a trim at a smithing table consumes one template; the pattern changes appearance, not armor protection.
Try the Dune Trim on Your Skin
Take Dune from a template in your inventory to a look you can actually see. Test the pattern on different armor bases and compare all ten trim materials.
